Unified Virginia Chiropractic Association Partners With Medicfusion to Help DCs Meet EHR Challenges
August 1, 2013, Afton, VA – The Unified Virginia Chiropractic Association (VCA) has announced a unique partnership with Medicfusion EHR that will help equip doctors of chiropractic (DCs) with the necessary educational tools for today’s health care environment. Designed by DCs, with specific chiropractic Electronic Health Record (EHR) needs in mind, Medicfusion’s goal is to save practitioners time, money and resources that could be put toward patient care.
“The use of EHR has become a major health care focus, and chiropractic physicians must embrace this technology to survive,” said Medicfusion Chief Executive Officer (CEO) Shayne Sundholm. “A central thrust of our partnership with the VCA is to help DCs understand and implement EHR in their practices.”
One of the key elements of the partnership is a series of free webinars from Medicfusion that examine many EHR issues, including the ins and outs of HITECH and government incentives as they apply to the chiropractic profession. These one-hour sessions are presented by the founder of Sharp Chiropractic, Kevin Sharp, DC, who said, “With so many changes coming in healthcare, implementing EHR is now a matter of survival.”
“This is an outstanding opportunity for DCs to gain valuable insight into EHR implementation and discover the many ways it can improve efficiency and cut costs in their practices,” said VCA President Thomas Wetsen, DC. “EHR services, like those being offered by Medicfusion, are an essential part of chiropractic continuing its progression within the health care arena.”
As part of the partnership package, VCA Members will receive a discounted price on Medicfusion Advanced or Premium Package.
